LIFE IS BETTER WITH JESUS!
We choose to live our lives according to the Gospel and Life of Jesus Christ. We believe we cannot go without him being part of who we are, of our experiences, and of our relationships. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, setting high standards and morals for us, challenging us to stretch our limits and to want more for ourselves and for our world. Jesus teaches us the measure of a life lived out of love, hope and courage.
"Lord, expand the horizons of our minds and hearts, that we may grow in knowledge, understanding and charity. Strengthen our decision to choose your way and to follow in your footsteps. Help us always to reach out to the people around us, especially to those in need. Amen."

WELCOME TO OUR COMMUNITY
St. Hyacinthe is a vibrant and active faith community. We are of Catholic origin but welcome all people to our celebrations and to explore their faith with us.
Masses are offered every Sunday, as well as Saturdays, and two weekday masses are celebrated Wednesday and Thursdays. There is an active Catechism program for children and youths. Our local council of the Knights of Columbus are also active in helping within the church and the community.
A Board of Trustees oversees finances and administration, and a Parish Pastoral Council manages all the aspects that make our church community progress and thrive.

St. Hyacinthe Parish also belongs to the Meridian Inter-Church Council, that regroups the Christian churches of La Salle, Sanford, Domain, Oak Bluff, Brunkild, Springstein and Starbuck, since 1971, to be the visible sign of unity of the Body of Christ. We are a support to one another by sharing Christ’s love as clergy and lay people at all times and in all places. For our communities and region, we demonstrate strength in fellowship, collaboration and mutual respect.
THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL AND PARISH YEAR BEGINS!
Dear parishioners and brothers and sisters in Christ,
After enjoying the summer months, we now begin this new school and parish year with enthusiasm and confidence. May the Lord bless us with experiences and encounters that will enliven us in our faith and will bring us to deepen our relationships with God, with family and others.
Join me and parishioners of St. Hyacinthe to celebrate Mass and the Holy Eucharist in our beautiful 110-year-old church. Be most welcome in this church. Take your place among us and find the support you need for the journey of life God has called us to.
I look forward to greeting you whenever you decide to be with us for Mass at the church. If age, illness or mobility keeps you from being with us in person, know that Sunday Mass is livestreamed for your benefit and spiritual needs. Your participation in the life of St. Hyacinthe Parish and the sharing of your presence and prayers will be greatly appreciated.
So come, and with us, celebrate God who is at the centre of our lives, who loves us deeply, and who always gifts us with what we need every day.
Your brother in Christ Jesus, on behalf of Parish Pastoral Council and Trustees,
Father Gabriel Levesque, Pastor

MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
It is with joy and humility that I accepted my 6-year mandate as Pastor of St. Hyacinthe Parish of La Salle which began on August 1st, 2019. Just recently then, upon completing my mandate, His Grace Albert LeGatt, Archbishop of St. Boniface, renewed my appointment for another 3 years, which I gladly accepted. So you are stuck with me for a little longer!
I was born and raised in the town of St. Jean Baptiste, Manitoba, the youngest of a family of four children. I am now 56 years old. I was ordained to the priesthood on June 5, 2003, and so I have been a priest for 22 years.
Every day, I pray for all my parishioners and especially for those who need my prayers the most. I am always available to be of service in any way I can. If you or someone you know in the community is in need, I hope you will call on me.
The St. Hyacinthe Parish and I are there for you. We appreciate the opportunity of knowing you and to journey in faith together. Everyone is valued. Each person and family are what makes this Christian community a vibrant and happy place to be. The St. Hyacinthe Parish is a good place to grow in faith and fellowship, a place where you belong. We consider it a joy to serve this church and all its members. And for me personally, because the parish is a Pastor's family, I hold you very specially in my heart and in my daily prayers!
May God's love and peace be with you, Father Gabriel
